AFRICAN BRIDGE NETWORK COVID-19 CAMPAIGN INFORMATION
The African Bridge Network (ABN) is a 501(c)3 organization that aims to create a supportive community that enables African immigrants in Massachusetts to leverage their qualifications and experiences in order to maximize their potential. The objective of this campaign is to provide a community-wide response to the COVID-19 pandemic by educating and empowering the African immigrant worker (direct care workers), advocating for their protection, connecting them to support services and resources, and elevating the community’s concern for personal protective equipment to the state. This campaign was created by members of the African community from a range of industries, including nonprofit leaders, elected officials, and experts on the healthcare industry. ACTIVATED MASSACHUSETTS AFRICAN COMMUNITY (AMAC)
Activated Massachusetts African Community is a grassroots organization with the mission to ‘educate, support and advocate for the well-being of the African community living in Massachusetts’. AMAC has a COVID-19 HELPLINE (857)302-2687( AMAC ‘CLICK N CALL’ PAGE) . The purpose of the helpline is to provide accurate COVID-19 information, appropriate referrals, and support to African immigrant communities in Massachusetts. The National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) Boston Professionals, is a 501(C)(3) non-profit org. dedicated to the academic & professional success of Black/ African American engineering students and professionals. They are currently raising fund to aid young children of color get computers and internet access during the COVID-19 pandemic.
