myeducation

MyEducation is the crown jewel of the Afrimerican Culture Initiative Inc.’s effort to build cultural bridges in the African diaspora because education is the key to understanding. If you understand, then you will lose your fear and begin to move closer to people who are ‘culturally different’ from you. This is the aim to educate but to make it simple, fun and engaging to all.

We have experienced educators as board members and contributors who through rigorous research and development have designed curriculum that will bring our African diaspora community together in understanding. The online coursework currently in development are:

  • The ‘Lives in Me’ African cultural education : This program is designed to aid our African American community as they educate themselves about African culture on their way to their maiden voyage to the motherland. The curriculum is designed around African oral tradition in order to ensure that simple cultural concepts are communicated in a relate able way. Patrons will learn the basics of African culture in a fun and engaging process.

This program will be especially useful for people of non-African descent that work in communities of color.
